Our project focused on evaluating the effectiveness of using lawn grass on campus, as well as proposing alternatives and future goals. The desired audience for this project was all members of CU (staff, students, and hopefully the environmental center!) Our ultimate goal was to spread the message about the negatives of lawn grass and non-native planting and inspire the school to rethink the current allocation of energy resources being used for it. We did this through a public TikTok account, which we felt was a lighthearted and relatable platform that will catch people’s attention easily. We posted a variety of different types of videos like interviews on campus, informative videos on native planting, and definitely a few goofy trends on the app. We also conducted a survey to see how often people sit on the grass.

Hey Guys! We shot everyone an email but just in case anyone missed it ; we’ve created a groupme to share ideas about the issues with grass on campus and would love for anyone who’s interested to join! No strings attached- just a medium to discuss ways to spread awareness in aims to reach CU’s administration
