Boulder County Compost – The Afternoon Show

For our group’s project, we aimed to inform college age students about the essentials of composting. Due to recent acts by the local government, compostable items such as cutlery, napkins, and plate wear are not to be accepted in compost any longer and are only taking food and yard waste at their composting site. This recent development has inspired us to create a show shot in a late-night show style, offering satirical commentary on the issue; We hope to make this somewhat boring news about composting, funny and engaging for a college aged audience. In the video we’re going to explain the recent composting restrictions, gauge the community’s reaction through street interviews, give background information on recycling and teach how to do it properly, as well as give our opinion on the recent news. We will try to make an easily digestible film that helps students make an impact through composting.
